Best Bathroom Interior Design Ideas

FLORAL CHANDELIER

Mirrors, marble and sunlight bring sparkle to a newly enlarged master bath. The garden motif of the Texas home is echoed in Nina Campbell's Orchard Blossom background and Canopy Designs' ceramic branch chandelier.

FLORAL BATHTUB

Designer Kathryn M. Ireland's Greta background in Reverse Green adds appeal to a guest tub in a Cape Cod getaway. The slipper seat is covered in her Roses linen in Red.

TRELLIS ACCENTS

Chinoiserie meets orangery from the trellis-accented powder area, with millwork by Philippe Le Manach of Accents of France. Farrow & Ball paints in Dix Blue and treillage in Plummett, both the walls. The lantern above is from Charles Edwards.

FEMININE GLAMOUR

"It's important to create your bathroom beautiful -- it sets the tone for the daily life," says Florida designer Cheryl Kees Clendenon. With this belief as her driving force, she laid out to make a space that was "feminine, young, and happy" for a teen girl's en suite bathroom.

SEE-THROUGH VANITY

Since there's no requirement to stash everyday necessities under a powder room sink, the vanity becomes strictly a statement piece. A mirror in a zingy yellow continues the theme of transparency.

FARMHOUSE STYLE

Nothing says "rustic" more than chicken wire. Use the screening set of glass cupboard doors to up the country feel and show heaps of fresh towels off.

SUNNY POOL HOUSE

Guests at a North Carolina house made by MA Allen soda in this changing place before hitting the pool. An integrated bench doubles as storage space for towels, along with a gooseneck lighting fixture from Barn Electric Co. brightens the CB2 mirror.

CORNER MIRROR

The world's tiniest powder rooms should copy this configuration. Whilst clutter becomes wrapped behind the fabric skirt sink maximizes each inch hung. Add a dose of charm by sneaking in an orchid that is elegant and mounting plates.

Frameless Shower Doors

NAUTICAL FINISHES

For his Nantucket house's master bath, designer Gary McBournie chose Waterworks hardware at unlacquered brass, so that it might tarnish and age. His aim was to tie back all the details to the house's feeling.
